Tawhai Falls

After days of unceasing rain, the land began to speak, its ancient stories carried in every drop. At Gollum’s Fall, swollen with life and spirit, I witnessed a rare moment of raw, untamed beauty. Known in Māori as Tawhai Falls, this sacred place near Tongariro awakens after the storm, its voice rising, its mana flowing stronger than ever. I was humbled to stand before it, and to capture a glimpse of the living soul of Aotearoa.
