"Fiordrest" (for Forest of the Fiord)
Wild, savage, moody, foggy, unique, name it... There is no such place like this one!
Nothing can beat the feeling to be surrounded by the wilderness.
I had the privilege of exploring New Zealand for 14 unforgettable months, spending most of my time on the South Island, a land of untamed beauty and a dreamscape for landscape photographers and lovers of the wild.
This image was taken during a journey through Doubtful Sound, known in Māori as Patea, meaning “the place of silence.” A name that echoes the stillness and reverence one feels amidst its mist-laden waters and ancient cliffs.
