Sony Electronics has officially announced the GP-VPT3 Multi-Function Shooting Grip and the RMT-VP2 Wireless Remote Commander, both featuring Bluetooth wireless technology. These products are designed for use with Sony's Alpha Series cameras and Vlog Camera Series.
GP-VPT3 Multi-Function Shooting Grip
The GP-VPT3 grip functions as a handheld shooting support, tripod, and remote camera controller. Its design enhances ease of use and flexibility, supporting cameras weighing up to 1.5 kg. An ergonomic shape enables one-handed operation of camera controls, including zoom and focus, suitable for both still images and video recording.
The grip also includes a tilting head mechanism for quick switching between selfie and standard shooting angles, as well as adjustable tilt angles for versatile positioning.
RMT-VP2 Wireless Remote Commander
The detachable remote commander can be used independently from the grip, providing control over movie recording, zoom, focus, and a customizable "C1" button. It connects wirelessly to compatible Sony cameras and Xperia smartphones, offering a communication range of approximately 10 m. Using this remote reduces camera shake, particularly beneficial for group shots or low-light scenarios.
Both the grip and remote maintain dust and moisture resistance during camera connection.
